Education & Awareness: Building a Culture of Road Safety

MKJR firmly believes that fostering a strong road safety culture through continuous education and awareness is fundamental to preventing accidents and saving lives. While infrastructure and enforcement are vital, changing long-term attitudes and behaviours requires sustained effort. Our campaigns target Malaysians of all ages – in schools, communities, and workplaces – aiming to make safe road habits second nature.

Our Approach: Continuous Reinforcement & Empowerment

Our strategy focuses on consistently reinforcing key safety messages through various channels. We aim to bridge the knowledge gap by providing clear, practical information that empowers individuals to make safer choices for themselves and others. We emphasize early education for children and ongoing engagement with adults, as both play crucial roles in shaping and maintaining safe road practices.

Key Activities & Focus Areas

  • Developing Targeted Campaigns: Creating and disseminating campaigns focused on critical issues like helmet use, seatbelt compliance (front and rear), dangers of speeding, drink/drug driving, distracted driving (especially phone use), and pedestrian/motorcyclist visibility.
  • Multi-Platform Outreach: Utilizing diverse media including social media, traditional media (TV/radio spots), printed materials (brochures, posters), and digital platforms to reach wide audiences.
  • School Programmes: Collaborating with schools to integrate road safety education into the curriculum or conduct specific workshops and activities for students.
  • Community Outreach: Conducting roadshows, talks, and workshops within local communities and workplaces.
  • Partnerships: Working with educational institutions, community leaders, NGOs, and corporate partners to amplify safety messages and extend our reach.
